Earth Hour Tomorrow from 8:30-9:30!

This Saturday at 8:30-9:30 PM is Earth Hour, when all over the Earth people are turning their lights out to acknowledge how much energy we humans use and how much renewable energy we must find to protect our sweet blue globe. According to the official Earth Hour website, Earth Hour is "a symbolic event designed to engage people from all walks of life in the climate change discussion to send a strong message to our political leaders that we want them to take meaningful action on climate change. The main point of Earth Hour is to unite people, companies and governments around the world through the symbolic flip of a switch." Click on the picture below to watch a video clip about Earth Hour.

We at Earth Ministry and Washington Interfaith Power & Light encourage all faith communities to participate in this fantastic global event. Take a moment tomorrow night, in the wonder of the darkness, to say a prayer of thanks for this beautiful planet, all its creatures, and for all those who are joining together in a worldwide call to care for creation.
